It was the early hours of the Saturday morning of the 16th when the labour was getting advanced. My boyfriend was called back into the room along with the doctor.
The doctor sat at the foot of the bed on a stool and said I was nearly 10cm now.
My feet were put in stirrups and I was ready to push.
I was then cut as the baby was breach so it was done as not to tear, I was told the foetus was coming first this seemed to take ages before the doctor announced he could see my other baby’s bottom. I couldn’t see anything that was happening due to having a blue sheet draped over my legs. My boyfriend was also unable to see as he was holding my head. After what seemed forever I had given birth to my baby it was now 5.45am,She was taken away to another room to my regret I asked not to know her sex.
I was being stitched when the nurse came back in the room and asked have you a middle name, not knowing why she had asked I said yes Joanne. I now know it was because there was a hospital Chaplin in the other room as she was getting baptised.
