These prayers seem to make me feel comforted knowing that one day all of us will be in gods care, Some may go earlier than others but at least we know there in heaven and away from harm.And there we will see our loved ones once again.

Prayer
These are a couple of prayers I read while I was a child that my children have also grown up knowing.
God be in my head,
And in my understanding.
God be in my eyes,
And in my looking.
God be in my mouth,
And in my speaking.
God be in my heart,
And in my thinking.
God be at mine side,
And at my departing.

Jesus, tender shepherd, hear me,
Bless thy little lamb tonight
Through the darkness be thou near me,
Keep me safe till morning light.
All this day thy hand as led me,
And I thank thee for thy care.
Thou as clothed warmed and fed me,
Listen to my evening prayer.
Let my sins be all forgiven,
Bless the friends I love so well.
Take me home at last to heaven,
Happy there with thee to dwell.
